Day 14 - Intentional Blessings in the Classroom

Day 14

(For Friday, March 31st)

It was absolutely amazing to me how many times the word hand was in the Scriptures. Our hands represent both good and evil and our focus in these 40 Days of Intentional Blessings is of course, on the good we can do for others. Today we will take a look at how we can use our hands to do good deeds. As you end your workweek, think of the old song, “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands,” and praise Him for all the good He has done for us.

A verse to ponder

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.

An intentional blessing for the classroom

Today is Helping Hand Day. Purposely rush to open the door for others, help push someone’s seat in for them, pick up dropped items and look for trash around campus that someone else dropped, but you throw it away. Speak to your students about joining you on Helping Hand Day and see how many creative ways they come up with to use their hands for good works.

A focus of reflection

Can you start a Helping Hand Day at school? Is it legal? Of course! Doing good works with our hands is one of the best character lessons for children. Our hands represent who we are as a person. What do you use your hands for the most? Do they do good works for others? Are they creative? How can we intentional use our hands morello bless others? May God continue to give you favor and establish the work of your hands.

(The power in a name. We haven't lived on the side of a hill so far....hmmm)

As always, I am prayerfully yours,
