Test Prayer 10

Dear Christian educators,

Prayer is a teacher's most powerful tool. What a gift it is to take it all to the Lord. It is no different during high-stakes testing. Throughout the year we prepare the students to the best of our ability and then we administer the test and wait. As you come to the close of this year's testing season, give special thanks to God for His help to prepare the students this year and deliver the test these few days and to be able to not dwell on it. It's just a test, yet in our world's it has become so much more. Measure it up against eternity and it's still just a test. Thank you for joining us on this 10 days of Test Prayers.

Ps. 32:6 - Therefore let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them.

Dear Lord,

Thank You for perspective. Help us to see through Your eyes, if that is even possible. With You a day is as a thousand years. Help us not to be anxious about test results and lean on You for the rest of the year. Lord, please bless our students as they tend to quit after the testing period. Help us to finish strong. We need creativity, inspiration and energy. You are the Creator of them all. Help us to tap into Your creative powers for the next few weeks. Give us inspiration for our lessons. Help us not to let down. We definitely need energy! Lord, thank You for blessing our school community. We look to You for all our answers and are growing in our prayer dependency.  We love You! Amen.

Test prayer 9

Dear Christian educators,

Today is a day of encouragement. Look around at your colleagues with an eye for someone who is really burdened by this testing period and the end of the year. Do something nice for them. It could just be a little time invested to hear how their day is going, a smile and a pat on the back for a great effort or even a little note. We all need that kind of attention, don't we? Be an encourager with no expectation of getting it back and look to your incredible blessings that you have been given because you are an educator. Why not mention to someone today a particular blessing? In this way you reflect on the good and give praise to God.  Dan. 4:2 - It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You Lord for creating us to be teachers. Thank You for planting that seed of care and love for children. Help us to remember to love them when they are unlovable. It's so impossible on our own, but with You all things are possible. Lord, thank You for helping us through this testing period and change of routine. Help us to look for the silver lining in the cloud that hangs over us and find ways we can tell others about the wonderful things You have performed in our lives. Please be present today, Lord and help us to be present for our students and not worrying about what happens next. You are the Mighty God Who made heaven and earth and fashioned us with Your own hands. We love you so much and thank You for Your mercy and grace. Amen.

Test prayer 8

Dear Christian educators,

It's the middle of the week and in the middle of testing. What usually happens in the middle? Sometimes it gives us a sense of doldrums because we are neither at the beginning nor end, but often it can be a day of hope. As Christians, the day of the week should make no difference because we always have hope and it starts with our Source. In one of the most encouraging verses in the Bible its says, (Ps. 139:14"I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Let's be reminded that no matter what day of the week or what part of testing we are in, He is so good to us.

Dear Father,

We praise You. We thank You for fearfully and wonderfully creating each one of us. Help us to look at our students today with eyes to see that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Help us to love them especially when they are unlovable. Thank You Lord for this time of testing. Help us to see the positive side of it and help our students not to let down, but stay focus and finish strong. Lord, we need Your presence, Your love, Your grace and Your mercy all around our school today. Help us to be a blessing to all that we come into contact with today. By Your Name and grace we pray. Amen.

Test prayer 7

Dear Believers,

I am struck this morning by the name Believer because Romans 1:16 says, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes to the Jew first and also to the Greek." What a privilege it is to be a believer and how awesome is our saving God. That is our hope and wake up call each morning before we start our day during testing or all other days in school. May God grant you the wisdom and peace today to keep your eyes on our eternal promises and not get bogged down in the minor details of testing and issues at school.

Dear Lord,

We love you Lord. We are Your children. We believe that You are a saving God through your Son, Jesus. Thank you for saving us and giving us your eternal promises. Lord, help us not to be ashamed of being a believer. It's so hard to know when to stand up in school and when to be quiet. Help us Lord to discern what is right and good Your way. Help us Lord to have patience on these long testing days, but most of all help us to never be ashamed of being a believer. Thank You for opening up these opportunities to pray and to let us in to Your very throne room. It's unbelievable. You are a mighty God. We love you. Please protect our students' hands, eyes, ears and mouth today that they may guard was the say and do. We praise You, we love You and we need You at school each day. Amen.

Test Prayers 6

My dear Christian educators,

We are still testing in Florida and I know some of you are just beginning today like my friends in Ohio. There is a time for everything under heaven. There is a time to test and a time not to test! (teacher application of Eccl. 3:1!) It really hasn't been that long ago that we didn't test these children so much, remember? Do not despair. With the Lord's help, you will come through this season also. As Christians, we need to be the light of how to respond to our duties at school. Make an effort to enjoy the change of routine with your students and before each day, before they ever enter your room, pray for them, sit in some of their chairs and name them by name. Prayer is a mighty tool for every teacher. Ps. 17:6 - I call upon You, my God, for You will answer me; turn Your ear to me and hear my prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You Father for seasons in life. Thank You for seasons in school. Lord, we count it an honor and privilege to come before You at our school and ask for Your favor. Lord, bless the children today with willingness to do their best. We ask that they have a spirit of kindness towards each other and that you grant them grace and peace.  Lord, help us as teachers and support personnel to guard over them and keep them safe, to encourage them and display gentleness in our words and actions during the off schedule time. Lord, only You can answer prayer and we lift our needs to You in grateful thanks. Amen.

Test prayer 5

My dear Christian educators,

How are your testing days going? I hear a variety of reports from "all is well" to "can't wait to be done." It's Friday and you've come to the end of a long week and it's time to not just make it through, but to praise it through. Let's look for ways we can be thankful for the little things and show the students gratitude. Don't make a big deal about it, but go out of your way today to thank the students for trying their best. Sometimes it's just the little things that make the big difference.  Let's give thanks this morning to God who is worthy of our praise.

Dear Lord,

We want to thank You today for giving us this new day. Thank You Lord for these students we are responsible and for protecting them during this testing period and always. You are the Only One Who can truly give us the ability to be successful in school. Thank You for giving us the ability to learn, read, write and communicate. It's really quite miraculous when we look at the rest of Your Creation. Thank You, Lord for calling us to be educators and giving us the privilege to touch the next generation for You. Please help the families of the Waco and Boston tragedies this week as they begin the healing process. Lord, bless this day and help us to be thankful. In Jesus's mighty Name we pray. Amen.

1st Thess.5:16-19 - Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; of this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Test Prayer 4

My dear Christian educators,

Do you agree that it's not necessarily the testing itself that makes us all tired and restless? It's the change of routine and the upset of our schedules. During this test period, let us be diligent to be calm. One of my favorite expressions in the New Testament is "Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." A version of it is found in at least 17 verses. My prayer for us today is from 2nd Peter 1:2 - Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father,

How great is Your Name. You are Abba, Beloved, Christ, Designer, Excellence, Father, Gracious, Holy, Intercessor, Jesus, King of all Kings, Lord of all Lords, Merciful, Name Above All Names, Omnipotent, Powerful, Quieter with Your Love, Righteousness, Savior, Teacher, Understanding, Victorious, the Word, eXpert,Yahshua, and the Zenith Over All.  We love You, Lord. Please bless this day with grace and peace. Give us words of grace. Grant us hearts of peace when our schedules are all mixed up.  Help us to see opportunities for peace in our pressure days of testing. Please send Your Spirit of grace and peace over our school today.  We love you, Lord. Amen.

Test prayer 3

My dear Christian educators,

It is so much more difficult to be in education today. The pressures of test scores, evaluations, lesson plans, paperwork and other duties assigned continually creep up to cloud our high calling. However, remembering the gift that God has given us to be an educator helps us to humbling focus back on what is most important - whatever we do, we do unto Him. If you are overwhelmed, pray. There is peace. In fact, 1st Thess. 5:16-19 admonishes us to "rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Dear Lord,

Thank you for designing us to be educators. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of working with children and molding them to be all they can be. Lord, help us to encourage the discouraged today. Help us to be able to be someone to whom they can come to. Help me to be available and present and not too busy for the little things that matter most to them. Lord, may we have a double portion of wisdom to choose the right words today. Show us how to be careful with what we say, because they always seem to listen when we don't want them to. Help the students to really try their best on the tests today and have success. Lord, thank You for being our Guide and Protector.  You are so good to us. Thank You, Heavenly Father for Your love. We ask it all in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Test Prayer 2

My dear Christian educators,

It is unbelievable to us as teachers that anyone could inflict such intentional harm on others as we saw in the Boston Marathon yesterday. As we pray today for our students and colleagues in their testing setting, remember to ask God for comfort for the victims and their families.  Today's prayer begins with this scripture: Matt. 6:34 - Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Dear Lord,

You are our Peacemaker and Guide. You are the only One Who can grant us success through our trials. Lord, be present today in our classrooms whether we are testing or not.  We need Your guidance and direction.  Please send a spirit of calm and peace to all the children today especially in the wake of such evil as yesterday. Lord, help our students to know that You are the answer to all our needs in good times and bad times. Please place guardian angels around each and everyone of them today as they travel to and from school.  Lord, we love you and ask for the gift of concentration today if their minds are wandering. We ask for the gift of kindness if they are feeling hopeless and although we cannot tell them of Your greatness, help us to be the kind of educators that display Your goodness.  Thank You Lord for present help and thank You for showing us how to present in today.  We ask special favor for those who were at the Boston Marathon yesterday, Lord. May they find peace in You. We love you and need you and ask this in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

Test Prayers

Today is the beginning of the official testing period (as if you didn't know!) Have you prayed yet for your students? I prayed for you right now. Please ask God to give them the ability to try their best. Ask for help for your colleagues and yourself to be educators of integrity. I love Col. 3:24 - Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.

Can you imagine if everyone took the test or administered the test as unto the Lord? We would be able to get rid of testing! We admonish the children to eat a good breakfast and get plenty of rest, but the only true food and rest is in our source. Let's be connected to Him all day, everyday, but especially through this testing period.

I will post a special prayer for the next 10 school days for your success and connection to Him.

Equip

I love these three words: encourage, equip and empower. As Christians in the public school, it is often difficult to know the fine line between living out our faith and being a public employee. Truly "being Jesus" is the best gift we can give any of our students and colleagues, and knowing how to do that is powerful.  Some our Christian Educators (CEAI). tips are below for your review.
