There's a Word for That - Day 1

Say it and Pray it - Day 1

Matthew 4:4  But He answered, “It is written, “ ‘Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you at the beginning of the new year committing our school life to relying on You and Your Word. You have shown us that we shall not live by bread alone, but my every word that comes from Your mouth. Help us Lord to learn more of Your word and to meditate on it everyday. In humble thanks we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

The Year of the Bible

Did you know this is the Year of the Bible? What an extraordinary proclamation! Check out their website for exciting plans to read the Bible, events to share the Bible and ways to cherish the Word of God. Year of the Bible

You’ve heard it say, “There’s an app for that.” In our present digital world, that is true, yet who knows what technology will be cutting edge in just another ten years? One thing we are guaranteed is that God’s Word does not change. As Christian educators, we can take great comfort in that promise. This year on our podcast, Around the Word in 180 Days, we are introducing “There’s a Word for That!” No matter what issues, dilemmas, difficulties, rejoicing, or troubles we may have in our schools, there is always a word of comfort, correction, or encouragement to edify our weary souls. When you need hope, there’s a Word for that! When you need wisdom, there’s a Word for that! When you don’t know what to do about a situation, there’s a Word for that!

Each school day, we will address a topic through the Word to encourage, equip and empower educators in their daily walk. Not only will we look at multiple verses on the same topic, we will pray one of the Scriptures. When we pray God’s word, we know we are in His will for He often speaks to us through His Word. Let's say it and pray it!

Prayer is a striving to “take hold of God.” (Isaiah 64:7) Prayer is love in need appealing to Love in power.  Prayer is an educators’ most important tool. Let’s learn to pray Scripture together as we seek His providential care for our schools.

As always, I am prayerfully yours,
K
